Nathan Owen Obituary
Bobby was retired from the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Postal Service in Mount Washington, was a former Mount Washington volunteer firefighter, and was a member of Mount Washington Lions Club and First Baptist Church of Mount Washington.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Glenda Smith Owen; his parents, Fred and Georgia Owen; brothers, Harold and Nolan "Jack" Owen; and sister, Beatrice Carey.
He is survived by three daughters, Paula Boswell (Johnny) of Destin, Donna Hensley of Fairborn, Ohio, and Teresa Fulkerson (Gary) of Mount Washington; a son, Chris Owen (Janine) of Knoxville, Tenn.; one sister, Ernestine Moody of Monroe, La.; seven grandchildren, John, Ryan and Jared Boswell, Jessica Fulkerson, Stacy Hensley, Baxter and Brewster; and five great-grandchildren, Alexis, Lily, Emma, J.R. and Brooklyn.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. June 22 at McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home in Louisville, Ky., with burial in Mount Washington Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Thursday.
Memorial gifts may be made to First Baptist Church's building fund.
