To The Paet Family,
I have never met Nathan, but with the great and wonderful words from the people whom he had touched unconditionally, it would have been an honor for me to meet and know him. Hearing and reading about the tragedy of his sudden death, it has struck me with intense disbelief of how life can be cut short for a wonderful and brave hero like Nathan.
To The Children of Nathan,
Your father was a fine young man and a credit to the uniform he wore. He is a true hero and his country will long remember his VALOR. Service to one's country that ends so tragically is the highest form of patriotism. Your father was a true patriot and he will be missed dearly. You have my deepest sympathy during your loss…..HE IS OUR HERO and May He Rest in Peace.

I have known Nathan in the year 2000 not just as a friend but as a teacher. Nathan was a wonderful student whom I remember having glasses on and sitting at the front of the class and if I can recall was always in class. He was a determined student of mine whom I had the pleasure of having as a high school student. Ten years after that, I come across Nathan for first time in 10 years. As respectful as he can ever be, he still addressed me with my last name. He had the same smile when I had him as a student, when I saw him 4 months ago after 10 years and now on his obituary. I still cannot "fathom" the fact that it was just 4 months ago that I last saw him. Nathan was always one of those students anyone would want as a student. He grew being a man, a father and a loving husband and it was all taken away. Things happen for a reason and we all are questioning the fact he had to go this way. I will never forget the last time I last saw Nathan. Along with friends there, we toasted, talked, and gave our hugs and went our merry way. To Nathan's family...my condolences to you. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to teach him and having him as a student. To Nathan...may you rest in peace. Thank you for serving our country and for being a part of many people's lives. You've touched everyone in many different ways even if it was for the first time they've met you. God speed. We will all miss you.

Our condolences with deepest sympathy to the Paet and Chaco families. With God's love and mercy, Nathan will be resting peacefully forever in God's Kingdom--Heaven--Paradise.
I am very grateful and deeply touched by the Christian love witnessed in Nathan's Obituary. I thank and respect very much the Paet families for the Christian love they displayed by including all of Nathan's families, to include his Chaco family.
I believe Nathan is very proud of this because it depicts the loving nature he learned growing up with and that he loved everyone till the end. I also believe Nathan is very grateful of this and is at peace knowing that he leaves his children behind to loving families who will always care for them. But most of all, when his children grow up and look back, they will learn of and receive the Christian love of their father and their Paet families in spite of their pain and grief.
I pray that the world display this Christian love more often and may God have mercy on us all.
Thank you again for the Christian love of the Paet families. Our condolences and prayers for all of Nathan's families, especially his children; and may Nathan rest in peace forever in God's kingdom where there are no enemies--only love and joy forever.

To Nathan Paet’s family:
I never met your son, but I learned much about Nathan from all the heart-wrenching news stories, and I have cried tears along with you over this incomprehensible tragedy. Although your Nathan’s light might have been extinguished too soon, I hope that you will have the Peace of knowing that you did a good job in the way you raised your son.
Apparently he was well loved by many. He did kind and thoughtful things for others even when his “plate was full” of responsibilities. He was a decent family man, a loving father and a good provider. His legacy will live on, and as his children grow, they will be able to learn that their dad was a man of integrity and good character from the stories that you will tell them.
I knew that you were people of faith and goodness especially when I saw Michelle’s name posted on Nathan’s obituary and how it mentioned that Nathan’s love and memories will continue to live on through his wife and children. I know that Nathan’s 4 children will also learn to be kind and merciful people through your influence in their lives.
I hope that the Paet, Villagomez and Chaco families will always stand together in Peace and Love and harmony for the sake of the children. I know that this is a very difficult time for all of you, but God will help you through it all. Trust in His Mercy.
I know that Nathan died during the holiday season and it might be difficult in the years ahead; but December is also a time of hope. And perhaps you can remind the children that Baby Jesus was also born at this time of the year, with the intention to save all sinners. And that everyone is invited to meet in Heaven again one day…and no one is excluded.
And to the villagers of Yona, and to the islanders of Guam: Remember that “It takes a village to raise a child.” So please be there for Nathan’s children. And please teach your children to be kind to Nathan’s children (especially in regard to this tragic story). Thank you Guam for being so family oriented. I know that you will do what is best for the children. God Bless to everyone.

Our sincere and deepest condolences go out to the children and family of Staff Sergeant Nathan Paet for their loved ones' untimely passing.
Although, I did not have the privilege of personally knowing Staff Sergeant Nathan Paet, I truly felt, like a lot of other people, that I really had loss a very good friend.
From all the MEDIA INFO, I can surmise that Staff Sergeant Nathan Paet served his country with honor and pride. He was a great parent, provider and friend to everyone he was associated with.
I consider Staff Sergeant Nathan Paet a military comrade hero who paid the ultimate sacrifice for "Freedom" we all enjoy and sometimes take for granted.
Staff Sergeant Nathan Paet is now with our Creator watching over his four children and all of the people he so loved and cared for.
