Neil Denny

Neil J. Denny September 12, 2020 Neil J. Denny, 85, of Baldwinsville, passed away on Saturday, September 12th, 2020. He was born on March 22nd, 1935 in Ogdensburg, NY. He graduated from Ogdensburg Free Academy in 1952. He then went on to work at General Electric until 1992, retiring after 40 years of dedicated service. Neil's greatest love was his family and grandchildren. His second love was the game of golf. Throughout his life, he dedicated his time to officiating for little league baseball and CYO basketball games; being an officer of the Liverpool Booster Club in the 1970's; a member of Beaver Meadows Golf Club for 40 years, serving on the board; attending SU football games at Archbold stadium; creating many fond memories on the St. Lawrence River with family; enjoying his time with family in Myrtle Beach; spending every Sunday night making pizza for his family. Neil will always be remembered for his humble, kind demeanor, being a true gentleman, and for his contagious smile, always grateful for his family and full life. Surviving to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 65 years, Ruth; three children, Gregg (Grace) Denny, Mark (Lori) Denny, and Vicki (Marcel) Voyer; two sisters, Mary Jane (Ronald) Wagonhall, Martha Jean (George) Chapman; his beloved grandchildren, Jeremy (Drue) Denny, Jill Crisafi, Stephanie (Albert) Alant, Samantha (Dave) Miller, Melissa, Michelle and Josh Voyer; great-grandchildren Luke, Alex, and Paul Alant; Madison Crisafi; Ava and Levi Miller. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, September 16th, 2020 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Maurer Funeral Home Moyers Corners, 3541 State Route 31 Baldwinsville. A Christian memorial service to celebrate his life will be on Thursday, September 17th, 2020 at 11 a.m. at Maurer Funeral Home Moyers Corners.
