"As long as we remember a person, they're not really gone. Their thoughts, their feelings, their memories, they become a part of us."
On Sunday, Neil John Provanzo passed away suddenly at Allied Hospice Center, Wilkes-Barre.
Neil was born in Hazleton on Nov. 26, 1938. Neil enjoyed traveling, snowmobiling and watching football.
He is survived by his two children, Marianne, New Jersey; James, Hazleton; his spouse, Marian; and Neil's niece, Joanne Leone.
Due to the rise in COVID-19 cases, a memorial service will be held at a later date.
Joseph A. Moran Funeral Home, 229 W. 12th St., Hazleton, is in charge of the arrangements.

We are so sorry for your loss, Neil was such a great guy. We looked forward to him coming in for a visit, whether it was for an adjustment on his glasses, to fix his watch or just to say hello. He will be sadly missed.
