This is kind of silly. Nelda was my friend for many years, and late in her life she was also my housemate for 5 years. After she had moved out, she came to a gathering of friends from Central in my back yard. We were all sitting around talking, when Nelda said with a sly little smile, "I have to use the bathroom. Is it still in the same place?" She still had it.

I have many, many memories of Nelda. A very warm person, sweet even in difficult times or under the pressure of work, she always showed the presence of Christ in her life. But I want to share two funny experiences that happened to me with her. I had been working Sierra Vista a very short time, and we had an event for all employees. I didn't know the place and she told me, follow me, I know it very well, I have been there several times. To make a long story short, she got lost and I got lost along with her.
On another occasion. at a team building event, we went to a place in Manteca and we went down the slides together. As we were going up to jump, we asked each other if we should do it or not, because for people our age, we weren't sure how to do it. Finally, we did it and we got to the end laughing and enjoying the nice time together.
See you soon dear Nelda. I'll see you in heaven soon.
"Well, done, good and faithful servant, thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy Lord."

The purest heart of anyone- always filled with understanding and compassion- Aunt Nelda taught me how to look upon others with such a heart and compassion in which I will forever be grateful.

Nelda was such a special lady. I have known the Parman family since high school but I really didn't get to know Nelda until we were much older. She had the best heart and so much compassion for all those who needed help but especially for the children. She went over and beyond what was expected to help them. Loved her. My condolences to the family.
