GONZALES, NELSON GERALD "Adios, Amigo, our Compadre. You've entered through Heaven's gateway into God's Great Domain. You're now reunited with your sweet Lorraine. Though we'll never again see your face, in our hearts you'll always have a place." by Louis P. Templet Jr. Nelson passed away at 7 a.m. Tuesday, May 25, 2004, at Plaquemine Caring Nursing Home. He was a native of Alajuela, Costa Rica, and a resident of St. Amant. He was 57, born April 18, 1947, and was employed by Manda Meats in Amite. Nelson is survived by a son, Nelson Henry Gonzales of Galvez; two daughters, Angela Marie Gonzales of St. Amant and Anna Patricia Gonzales of Costa Rica; a stepdaughter, Tina Hughes of Gonzales; two granddaughters, Claudia and Jaiden Gonzales; a grandson, Joseph Anthony Gonzales of Costa Rica; for sisters, Cecilia, Nora, LeTecia and Margaria, all of Costa Rica; three brothers, Uriel, Otileo and Egarico; mother, Gricelda Gonzales of Costa Rica; in-laws, Laben Templet, Lucien and Helen Templet, Louis and Myrt Templet, Roy and Jean Templet, Ernest and Jackie Templet, Floyd and Elaine Templet and Lionel Templet; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lorraine Templet Gonzales; and father, Cecilio Henry Gonzales, who was of Costa Rica. There will be a memorial service Saturday, June 5, 2004, at 11 a.m. at St. Mark's Catholic Church, Gonzales. His body was cremated and his ashes will be returned to his homeland.
