CHAPEL HILL — Nettie "Faye" Beck Jones, 68, passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2012.
A 2 p.m. funeral service will be held Friday, January 13, 2012 at Forbis and Dick North Elm Street Chapel. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
"Faye" was born November 19, 1943 in Robeson County, NC to Fred T. Beck and the late Thelma Fowler Beck. She retired from Cone Mills in 1997 as a payroll accountant.
Known by her family as a very caring and loving person, her favorite "job" was being a grandmother. Her grandchildren knew her affectionately as "Gi Gi". She was well loved and touched the lives of all whom she came in contact with.
In addition to her mother, "Faye" was preceded in death by her husband, David C. Jones.
"Faye" is survived by her father Fred T. Beck. She is also survived by daughter, Jennifer Faye Jones, as well as sons David "Tommy" Jones and Nicolas Charles Jones. Other survivors include a brother, LaRue Beck (Brenda) of Broadway, NC, and also a sister, Teresa Smith (Gunner) of Wilmington, NC. Additionally, she is survived by seven grandchildren, Natalie, Nicolas, Jaiden, Cai, Caleb, Cameron and Cayden.
The family will receive friends Thursday, January 12, from 6 until 8 p.m. at Forbis and Dick North Elm Street Chapel.

Nick, Jenn and Tommy ~ I am so sadden and praying for you all. She was SO proud of you all. What a Beautiful Testimony left behind by a Beautiful Lady who we loved dearly. Hold on to the fact that Mama Faye is running thru Heaven with many she missed dearly. Her fight is now over. ~ I have faught a good fight, I've kept the Faith.
