Published by Legacy Remembers on Jan. 29, 2018.
The family of Eileen Miller is celebrating the homegoing of their beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Visitation will be Friday, February 2 from 5 to 7 pm at Eternal Valley Memorial Park and Mortuary in Santa Clarita. A private graveside will be held on Saturday for the immediate family.

Eileen was born in Guthrie Center, Iowa to Sherman and Mary Gladys Lemmon on February 2, 1918 and passed away in Newhall, California on January 26, 2018. She was just seven days short of her 100th birthday.

Eileen had a full life in service to her Savior. From growing up in a preacher's family to marrying a preacher, she was able to use the gifts God gave her to glorify Him. She started playing the piano in church when she was quite young and became an accomplished pianist.

Eileen graduated from San Francisco State University with a Bachelors degree in Education. She taught elementary school for 32 years retiring in 1980.

She took delight in her family, supporting and encouraging each one to reach their potential, always with the emphasis on serving God. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved to listen to the hymns. Her focus was always on sharing with whom she came in contact and her life had a Christian impact on many others.

Eileen was preceded in death by her sisters Ardith Smead and Jackie Penney, and her husband Stanley Dee Miller. She is survived by her sister Donna and daughters Linda Fleming, Laurie and Jim Andrews, Debbie and Dave McKean, and Patrice and Bill Thompson along with 15 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

?Mom, we love you and will miss you but are so thankful that you are with Jesus!
