Neuma C. Green, Jr., 93, formerly of Lower Paxton Twp., passed away December 6, 2015, at the Kerrville VA Hospital in Texas. He was the widower of Faye (Bohner) Green.
Born July 14, 1922, in Steelton, he was son of the late Neuma C. Green, Sr. and Minnie Green.
Mr. Green was a U.S. Army veteran and hero, having served in WWII as a Gun Commander and became Prisoner of War until 1945. He was awarded 4 Bronze Battle Stars.
After the military, he worked in the steel industry where he retired. Neuma was a member of the POW Club and the Penbrook VFW.
Surviving are 3 Grandchildren: Dawn M. Garcia, Tracey L. Gill, David A. Green and their families. In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by his son, Donald E. Green, and several siblings.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 16, 2015, 10:00 a.m., at Zimmerman-Auer Funeral Home, Inc., 4100 Jonestown Road, Harrisburg, PA 17109. Burial at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens will follow the service.

Dawn Marie, Tracey and David my sincere condolences to each of you. Neumie was a wonderful man. He will always be remembered. I have many fond memories of Neumie and Faye. May my friendship and prayers ease you through this time.
