Newton Ballard Owens

I am finding this news a little late. I have thought of Newton through the years. I had a quote from him that was on a board that I lost in a fire last. It was, If He takes his lovin' arms from around me, I fall." Always enjoyed him when at WT. A great dancer too. So sorry for your loss.

He was a good friend to us. He pushed london in to getting healthier. Thanks coach we really needed your help.

Newt, you will be missed by so many! You were always so nice to me and my daughter. Prayers for you and your family! RIP friend.

Newton was a great friend to me and my family, I always saw him as a family member. He was the first guy that welcomed me and my sister to Amarillo, he was one heck of a sportsman. He taught me the value of playing softball, (yes I did know how to play), but Newton taught me more of what was softball and volleyball. I never saw him with a sad face he was always laughing, smiling and them jokes. What a guy! I could go on but I can already see him telling me stop Sylvia.
Newton you will be dearly missed.
