Ollie Callis

Ollie M. Callis died November 12, 2008 in Tubac, AZ, five days before her 101st birthday. She was born in Morris, OK on November 17, 1907, the day after Oklahoma became a state. She and her husband, Leonard, moved to Spencer in 1958 when Star- Spencer School District was formed. She retired as a first grade teacher at Spencer Elementary School in 1970. She also taught at Morris, Dibble, Meridian, Bixby, and Vinita. She received her BA degree from Central State College and her MA degree from Western State College in Gunnison, CO. Survivors include her, daughter, Margaret & husband, Terry Loftus of Tubac, AZ grandson, Timothy, wife, Julie and great grandsons, Jack & Max Loftus of Prior Lake, MN and sister, Frances Hill of Midwest City. A memorial service will be held at Spencer Methodist Church on Saturday, Dec. 13, at 10:00 AM.
