Nicholas Friedrich Berry departed our earthly midst on Wednesday, June 25, 2014. He was born on March 16, 1970 in Baton Rouge, graduated from St. Aloysius Catholic School in 1984, from Baton Rouge Senior High School in 1988, from the University of West Florida (BS) in 1993, and from the University of South Florida (MLIS) in 1995. He and his wife Cebell Gallion Berry moved to Seattle in 1996, where he held information processing positions in the last 18 years with Boeing, NOAA, REI, Amazon, an independent Internet consultant, and his current employer Ramp Group. He is survived by Cebell and their three children – Sage Francesca (14), Ian Morgan (12) and River Wyatt (8); his parents John Charles Berry and Cathy Ward Berry; his brother Jacques Berry and his wife Carrie Broussard; his grandmother Victoria Caliva Ward; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Memorial Services will be held in Baton Rouge and Seattle. The Baton Rouge Memorial Service will be held at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 2025 Stuart Avenue, Baton Rouge, LA on Monday, July 7, 2014, with visitation at 4:00pm and services at 4:30pm. The Seattle Memorial Service is listed in Nick's memorial blog, which also contains posts from the last two weeks of his life: http://www.nickberryupdate.blogspot.com. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to a charity of your choice.

Nick was one of the best students ever to attend the University of South Florida. He was in several of the classes I taught and showed a brilliant insight into literature and service to the public. His legacies are his family, friends and the good work he did every day of his life.
