Nicholas Dexter Lawson, 40, of Crossville, passed away May 3, 2009, in Crossville. Funeral services were held May 6 at Crossville Nazarene Church, with the Rev. Dale Bailey and the Rev. Dan Hively officiating. Interment was in Crossville City Cemetery.

Mr. Lawson was born Jan. 10, 1969 in Crossville.

He was a member of the Crossville Nazarene Church where he played drums in New Direction service. He had been a truck driver. He loved music and his job.

Mr. Lawson is survived by his brothers and sister-in-law, Richard Lawson, Danny and Khrista Wyatt and special little brother Larry Neal, all of Crossville; sister and brother-in-law Debbie Hall and Gordon Kokes of Crossville; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and many dear friends; and great-niece and nephew, Hailey Reagan and Cody Reagan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Farrell Dexter Lawson and Betty Buck Lawson; paternal grandparents, James E. Lawson and Gladys Stapp Lawson; maternal grandparents, Crawford Buck and Edna Buck; and an aunt, Bobbie Buck.

Pallbearers were Casey Hively, Ronnie Garrett, Jason Barrett, Gary Woody, Larry Neal and Ronnie Gunter.

Crossville Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. was in charge of the arrangements.
