To the Family,

I offer the most sincere condolences. I did not know Nick well, we were friends for a short time as teenagers when I spent the summer in Northumberland with my cousin. What I do remember of him, he had a good heart and kind soul, remember the good things, and remember he will always be with you in your heart. Again I am sorry for your loss.

To the Schrader family,

My condolences to you. I remeber Nick as a teenager. He and my son, Bob, were friends thru out high school. I have fond memories of Nick sleeping at our house, watching movies together and going to the marina with us. He was a kind and funny guy and could always made us laugh. I have not seen him for many years, but he must have turned out to be the same kind of man. My thoughts are with you in your time of sorrow.

To all the Schrader Family,

I've been wanting to send you all my sympathies, but found it hard to do the past few days, because I just can't comprehend that Nick is gone. I have just returned from standing in an hour long line to see you and to say goodbye to my "buddie". I had to chuckle to myself, wondering what Nick would think about the traffic jam in Northumberland this morning... all because of him. Even though I still don't think this has sunk in yet, please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. I, along with many, many others will remember Nick for the great guy and friend he was.

Having worked with Nick at Columbia Co. Prison, I got to know this great guy pretty well. He was always having fun, always smiling, and never without a good joke to tell. He will be missed by everyone there. Our hearts go out to Brooke. Just by the way he was always talking about her, there was no doubt she was his whole world. He adored her more than words can express. He was always excited when he was going to be spending time with her and talking about what he had planned to do. I never met her but I know she had a really great Dad who loved her very much. Nick always spoke of his family and especially his Dad Joe. Being a horse person myself, he would always be telling me stories of his Dad and growing up with horses. I will miss those conversations and I will really miss Nick. My deepest sympathy to the Schrader family and God Bless.
