Nicholas Steine Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 28, 2024.
Nicholas F. Steine, 56, passed away suddenly on July 18th, 2024 at his home in Milwaukee, WI.

On March 2nd, 1968, Nicholas was welcomed into the world by his parents Gene Sr. and Patricia Steine; along with a very excited big brother, Gene.

In his early years, he loved to race motocross motorbikes in the summers and ski in the winters with his brother and friends. Nick was a passionate fan of Minnesota sports, cheering enthusiastically for the Vikings, Twins, and all local teams. He also found endless joy in playing golf with his family and friends, and cherished his experiences at major golf tournaments.

In 1997, Nicholas married his high school sweetheart Jill Tibke. And on August 26th, 1999, he got his heart stolen by his one and only baby girl, Natalie.

Nick joined his father and brother in the family business; Steine Cold Storage, based in Plymouth, MN for over 30 years. He recently took on the role of Vice President at Foam It Green in Milwaukee, WI. His leadership and commitment were evident in both positions, earning him respect and admiration from colleagues and clients alike.

He is survived by his daughter Natalie; Minneapolis, his father and stepmother, Gene Sr. and Gloria; Maple Grove, one brother, Gene, wife Sallie and five nephews, Jack, Ben, Max, Werner and Nathan; Mound, his uncle, Richard Steine; Minneapolis, girlfriend Joetta Pollich and children Cole and Bree; Waukesha WI, and numerous cousins. Nick is preceded in death by his mother Patricia.

Nicholas will be remembered for his love of sports, his professional achievements, and the joy he brought to his family and friends. His legacy will live on in the memories and words of those who knew and loved him.

A Celebration of Life will be held on August 1st, 2024, at 10 a.m. in Lakewood Memorial Chapel with a luncheon to follow.

I will always remember when Nick and I were announced as my nephew Jack's Godparents. We were both so proud and I remember his huge smile when he held Jack. Hard to believe that was way back in 1996.

So sorry for your loss - may God grant you peace knowing that you will see him again someday in Heaven.
