It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our husband and loving father, Nicola Di Lello, on Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at the age of 72 years. Dad left his native land Fossacessia, Chieti, Italy in 1960 and came to Toronto with his mother, brothers and sisters. Dad was only 20 years old but full of energy and a will to work hard to achieve all of his dreams. He moved to Calgary in 1973, where he met the love of his life Bruna. Nick is survived by his loving wife Bruna; two sons, Bruno and Anthony (Ali); brothers, Mike (Anna) Di Lello and Gino (Nancy) Di Lello; sisters, Maria (Mike) Di Matteo, and Paola (Vince) Buonomo; sisters-in-law, Lina (Ciccio) Saccomanno and Lisa (Amleto) D'Alfonso; brother-in-law Joe (Rosa) Rino; and numerous nieces, nephews and loving cousins. Nicola was predeceased by his father Antonio; mother Flora; brother Guerino Di Lello; his father and mother-in-law Antonio and Maria Rino; his brother-in-law Bruno Rino; as well as his Zio Domenico and Zia Giovina Torriero of Calgary and Zio Silvino and Zia Maria Greco of Toronto. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at Holy Name Catholic Church (2223 - 34 Street S.W.) today, August 7, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Name Catholic Church (2223 - 34 Street S.W.) on Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen's Park Mausoleum.
