Nick Ostapovich Obituary

Nick Ostapovich
Nick Ostapovich was born on July 27, 1940 in Foam Lake, Saskatchewan where he grew up on the family farm. In 1965 he moved to Yorkton to work as a welder. He married Esther in 1966 and in 1968 their son Mervin was born. They moved back to the family in Foam Lake in 1971 where he farmed and continued his welding until 1996. They moved to Saskatoon to further his adventures in fabricating and welding.
Nick peacefully passed away at the age of 72 on December 25, 2012 with the support of his family.
He is survived by his wife Esther, son Merv (Sherry), grandchildren Katelyn and Carter, sisters Lena Stacheruk, Alice. Nodge (Albert), Doris Schebel (Joe), brother John Ostapowich (Olga), sister-in-laws, Emily Ostapowich, Arvilla Nagy(Leslie) and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents Gaficia and Alex Ostapowich, sisters Mary Wyhony (Bill), Annie Berezowski (Nick), Katie Anaka (Mike) and brothers Steve Ostapowich, Wasyl Ostapowich, Metro Ostapovich and infant granddaugther Kylie Ostapovich and brother- in-laws Nick Stacheruk, Elmer Unyi and Edwin Unyi.
The funeral will be held in Foam Lake on Saturday, December 29, 2012, 11:00 a.m. at the Foam Lake United Church.

My condolances at this difficult time. Although I didn't know Nick I did work with his son and his tallents and sence of ethics were evident.
