Nicole Jenkins

Nicole Therese Jenkins, December 17, 1980-February 16, 2025

Nicole Jenkins was born at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Brighton. She grew up in Brookline, graduating from Lincoln Elementary School in 1995 and Brookline High School in 1999.

She and Erik Brown met in 2001. They had their beloved daughter, Marley Madison Brown, in 2003. Erik remained devoted to Marley until his death in February 2012. Nicole became a single mother, a role she excelled at. For nearly 22 years, Marley was her greatest joy. They were each other's best friends and would joke that they were "bros."

In 2021, she reunited with her earliest companion Tobias Potyranski, whose mother Felicitas cared for Nicole when the two of them were children. Tobias was Nicole's other best friend, as well as her fiancé. He and Nicole remained deeply in love for the rest of her life. In 2022, he moved into her home in Fall River.

Beyond Marley and Tobias, Nicole's passions included visual art. A gifted painter, she painted not only on canvass but rocks. Her painted rocks were an artform that perfectly encapsulated Nikki's uniqueness and creativity. She collected sea glass, and was a crazy plant lady to the point of almost being a supervillain.

Toward the end of her life, she was blessed with a fur baby, her sweet and cuddly bunny Tootsie.

A woman of profound kindness and talent, Nicole will also be remembered for her hilarious wit. She named her illness Beast, and fought against "him" valiantly for twenty years. Her chronic illness was physically painful, but never dulled her vibrancy.

Also, it must be said that throughout her life Nicole was stunningly gorgeous, as well as fashionable. She managed to turn eye makeup into a political statement. She was predeceased by her loving father Wayne and Tobias's mother Felicitas. In addition to her beloved Marley, Tobias and Tootsie, Nicole is survived by her mother Joan Arsenault, stepfather Donnie Poole, stepmother Terry Jenkins, and many, many friends. Nicole was deservedly well-loved, and will continue to be loved.
