Nikita S. Washington was born on July 4, 1973 in Chicago, Illinois to Barbara Washington and Artis Washington. She was the 2nd born of two children.
Nikita attended Raines Elementary, Powell Middle School, and Callaway High School. She went on to Cosmetology School in Jackson, MS. Doing hair was her passion. She loved dancing, singing, and cooking for her children and family. She had a heart as pure as gold. Always wore a smile and was the life of the party!! Playing video games, cards, and listening to music were also things she enjoyed. Her last job was at Strom Engineering.
Nikita was preceded in death by Georgia Dille (great-grandmother), Johnnie Washington (grandmother), Jack Browder (grandfather), Aurora Washington (granddaughter), (3) aunts: Alma Hawkins, Carol Washington, and Lorean Barnes.
Nikita leaves to cherish her loving memories Maurice Griffin (Spouse), her children: Sherena Washington, Deondre Washington, Dewayne Washington, Dwanna Washington, and Tony Lewis. Grandchildren: Jamarion Washington, Kenyada Marshall, Jaiden Washington, Alasia Washington, Harmonie Lewis, Aleeyah Washington, Christiana Washington, Kimberlee Washington, Harlie Lewis, and Ayla Washington. Mun-Barbara Washington and Artis Washington, Ora Lee Dille (grandmother). Siblings: Artis Washington (Freda) and Ashaki Hayes-Wade (Curtis), Artavian Washington (nephew), Taylor Washington, Ashaki Hayes, and Alexander Hayes (nieces). Aunts: Virginia Tillis Vanessa Washington-Lee, Rhonda Smith, Gloria Jean Jones, and Shirley Ann Washington. Uncles: Lincoln Dille, Sr., Adam Dille, Archie Dille, Kenneth Washington, Johnny Dille (great-uncle, and a host of other relatives and friends.
