Nikki Sharp Obituary
Nikki Sharp passed away peacefully at Rest Haven Lodge in Sidney, B.C. on Oct. 4th. She lived to be 99 years old and always retained her sharp wit, sense of humor and zest for live. She had emigrated back to her birthplace of Canada in 1980. She lived at multiple residences in Sidney including: Patricia Pl., Lovell Ave., Malaview, Norgarden Retirement and lastly Resthaven Lodge. She had many friends and interests especially gardening with a vast knowledge of plants. She was also an expert in antiques having owned a shop in California for years. You could also be assured no garage sale or flea market was safe with Nikki on the prowl.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jack who passed in 1968. Her mother Theodora and twin sister Paula. She is survived by three daughters and two sons: Barbara Buckert (Jay) of Seattle, Pam and Diana Sharp of Okanogan, Wash., Roland Sharp, MD (Rosa) of Santa Cruz, Ca., John Sharp (Lynda) of Arvada, Co. Also two nieces: Vikki and Gail Moll of San Jose, Ca. Five grandaughters and five great grandchildren.
A memorial to her life will take place at Ross Bay Cemetery with internment of her ashes on her 100th birthday March 15th 2014.

Oh Nikki, how Ilene and I sorely miss you. You were a gem and delight to be with. Such a sweet, cute, funny and classy lady. I always enjoyed and will cherish our visits, and times we spent together with you and Bert. The way you would whisper things to us with your little gruff voice & make us laugh. Such a character and beautiful soul. And how you liked your wine at the restaurant when we had dinner together, “if” you could get away with it. You always brought a smile to our face & loving warmth to our hearts. Our deepest condolences to your family and everyone who knew you. You are “Just Over The Rainbow” waiting to greet us, and we will be together again. All the love our broken hearts can send.

My sincerest condolences to the family of Nikki. She brought so much joy to my father in the last years of his life and I will forever be grateful. Her huge smile and genuine warmth is what I will remember the most.
Just like her and I talked about when my dad passed, you are not gone, you are just "Somewhere over the rainbow".
