MAYODAN- Mrs. Nina Mae Steele Welch, 86, of 209 W. Washington Street, died Sunday, May 7, 2006 at Brian Center in Eden.
A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, May 9, 2006 in the chapel of Ray Funeral Home with the Rev. Randy Jessup officiating. Burial will follow in Mayodan Municipal Cemetery.
Mrs. Welch was born December 16, 1919 in Guilford County. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Hardy Welch in 2003.
She is survived by three sons, James Otis Welch of Reidsville, Odell and Dot Welch of Stoneville and Paul and Shirley Welch of Mayodan; daughter Virginia and Charlie Brim of Madison; one brother Claude Clifton Steele of California; six grandchildren, Windy Welch, Angel Garrett, Charlene Ashby, David Welch, Rhonda Gay Bailey and Gary Welch; one step-granddaughter Margaret Ann Burroughs; nine great-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. on Tuesday prior to the service at the funeral home.
Ray Funeral Home in Madison is serving the family.
