Noah Henry Berry

Gulf Breeze - Noah Henry Berry, 64, of Gulf Breeze, Florida passed unexpectedly due to heart complications on January 4, 2020.

He is preceded in death by his father, Henry and mother, Hazel Berry, of Atlanta, GA.

He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Julia Berry; his brothers, Milo and Neil; his son and daughter-in-law, Clint and Amy Berry; his daughter, Lisa Berry, and step-daughter, Morgan Cole and his grandchildren Taylor, Noah, Carsyn, Shayna and Chandler.

For more than 20 years, Noah worked as bread man and route manager for Colonial Bread Company/Sara Lee before he retired, where he met so many of his lifelong friends. Noah loved visiting with his grandchildren and serving as a Sunday School teacher for members at his local Baptist Church in Gulf Breeze, FL. Noah's biggest hobby was playing golf and competing in various tournaments throughout the region with his co-workers and friends. In his spare time,

he loved playing his acoustic guitar and singing along with his friends and family. His personality and sense of humor was contagious, and he surely made an impact on anyone he met. Noah truly lived an exceptional life and was truly blessed by the love of his family members and friends.

Memorial services will be held at First Baptist Church, 555 Fairpoint Dr., Gulf Breeze, Florida on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at 11:00 am. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. I took time today to remember Noah and the funny times we all had together.

My favorite and most cherished memory is how he helped a bunch of "Yankees" during Hurricane Erin and Opal. Though he did find it funny that we didn't have a clue what to do when told to evacuate. I don't know how we would have made it if it wasn't for his generosity and humor during a difficult time. I'll always remember how much laughter we shared during that evacuation especially about the tiny Alabama shack and the great steak dinner he cooked for all of us. My friends and family were amazed that a neighbor we only knew for six months gave my family, my father and grandmother a place to stay during a Hurricane. That was just how Noah was.

He was also the first friend to call during my family tragedy and I will never forget how he cried with me on the phone and said "whatever Julie and I can do just ask". Well now he can laugh with his "little buddy" again. Though I don't remember why he called Chris his "little buddy".

My family and I were truly blessed to have him as a friend and neighbor.

Julie, I am so very sorry. Noah was larger than life to me. He loved being silly smiling. You were a incredible wife taking care of him. I know you loved each other very much. He just wore his body out. I believe each day after a while was a true gift.
Love you,
Dottie
