Noel Teegarden Obituary
Noel Shorty Teegarden was born September 3, 1945 in Norfork, Arkansas. He departed this life on Monday, April 25, 2016 at the age of 70.
Shorty is survived by his wife of the home, Wilma (Southard) Teegarden; three children and their spouses, Jeff Teegarden (Angie) of Norfork, Willa Parker (Kevin) of Conway and Leanna Martin (Richard) of Dolph; six grandchildren, Lindsay Teegarden, Logan Parker, Jordan Teegarden, Jansyn Parker, Will Martin and Jamey Martin; three sisters, Lena Parnell, Gay Loosey and Rosie Stapleton; his mother-in-law, Mary Adkins and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ott and Virginia (Warner) Teegarden; two brothers; four sisters and his father-in-law, Eudell Southard.
Shorty spent most of his life as a logger and farmer. He was an avid outdoorsman who had an eye for good cattle, horses and coon dogs. Shorty prided himself in a strong work ethic and in treating people right. His kids and grandkids were his greatest accomplishment.
A visitation will be Wednesday, April 27, 2016 from 6 - 8 p.m. at Conner Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Thursday, April 28, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Galatia Assembly of God in Norfork under the direction of Conner Family Funeral Home with Bro. Jeff Sanders officiating. Pallbearers will be Logan Parker, Jordan Teegarden, Will Martin, Allen Moore, Lynn Coggins, Eddie Napier and Marlin Coggins. Honorary pallbearers will be Lindsay Teegarden, Jansyn Parker, Jamey Martin, Howard Rand, Lynn Rand and Bobby Hicks. Burial will follow at Galatia Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Arkansas Children's Hospital, 1 Children's way, Little Rock, AR 72202 or Hospice of the Ozarks, 701 Burnett Drive, Mountain Home, AR 72653.
