On April 20, 2014, Easter Sunday, Jesus took Nola Lee Crowley (Farrar), 92, by the hand and led her to her heavenly home.
Nola Lee Farrar was born to William Lois and Iva Grace (Frazier) Farrar on June 19, 1921 in Sherman, Texas. Her family moved to the Snyder area where she attended schools until the 8th grade. She later earned her GED for which she was very proud. Nola and Randall Hugh "Choc" Crowley were united in marriage on July 5, 1938 in Altus. To this union two children were born, Hubert Wayne Crowley in 1941 and Dianne Crowley (Coe) in 1950. They made their home in Tipton for over 50 years. They all attended the Tipton First Baptist Church and all were baptized there. They had the pleasure to witness other family members baptisms and weddings celebrated there. They were devoted church members at the Tipton First Baptist Church until their move to Altus, due to poor health. Nola devoted all her life to working various jobs. Nola loved gardening, working in the yard, planting and tending her flowers, especially her roses. She loved growing and canning her own vegetables, going to the farm and checking on her cattle and watching baby calves play. Nola was a very compassionate caregiver to many Tipton residents.
Nola was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, two sisters and a brother.
She is survived by her daughter, Dianne Coe and husband Eddie of Altus; three grandchildren, Bryan Coe and wife Michelle of Altus, Kelly Coe of Altus, and Misty Posas and husband Gilbert of Hobart; six great-grandchildren, Kyle Coe of Altus, Taryn Palmer and husband Eric of Midwest City, Jordan Ramirez of Altus, Tyler Crowley of Hobart, AJ and Marco Posas of Hobart; one great-great granddaughter, Alexus Harley Coe of Altus; one sister, Nadine Sanderfeld, formerly of Hobart; several nieces, nephews, and a very special friend, Barbara Cawthorne of Tipton.
Graveside services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Tipton Cemetery with Bro. Johnny Tims officiating. Services have been entrusted to Kincannon Funeral Home.
The family will greet friends Wednesday from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Kincannon Gathering Room.
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Tipton in Nola Lee Crowley's name. Online tributes may be made at kincannonfuneralhome.com
