Dora M. (Nora) Rhodes Dora M. (Nora) Rhodes, 66 years old, of Browning, Missouri, passed away Thursday, July 30, 2015 at St. Luke's Hospital. Nora was born on March 6, 1949 in Gridley, California to Emons and Betty (Abshire) Howell. On July 6, 1971, she married Harry Bill Rhodes, he survives her of the home. Also surviving is: two sons, Jack L. Rhodes of Lawton, Oklahoma, and Justin C. Rhodes of Parkville, Missouri; one grandson, Christian C. Rhodes; her mother, Betty Howell of Gridley, California; one brother, Gene Howell of Oroville, California; and numerous nieces and nephews including a special niece, Terri Howell. She was preceded in death by: her father, Emons Howell; and a brother, Dick Howell. Nora moved from California to Browning 46 years ago. She was a home health nurse for the Linn County Health Department for over 30 years, and active in community events. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Browning and Missouri Rural Letter Carriers Association Auxiliary. She enjoyed spending time at Lake Thunderhead with family and friends, the Rhodes family float trips, and spending last winter in Southern Texas. She loved spoiling her Grandson. A funeral service for Nora will be held 2:00 PM, Sunday, August 2, 2015, at the United Methodist Church in Browning, Missouri. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral, starting at 1:00 PM. Cremation will follow, and an inurnment will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions are suggested to American Legion Post # 274, or the Haseville Cemetery. Ruschmeier Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
