On Thursday, August 10, 2017, of Regent Square. Beloved husband of 60 years to Joan Alfieri Gannon; loving father of Mary Lee (Gannon) von Waldow and her husband, Arnie of O'Hara, Norbert O. Gannon and his wife, Sally, of Falls Church, VA; dear grampy of Maria, Brianna, Andrea, Max, Kyle, and Kerri; brother of Nancy and Kathleen. Dr. Gannon was a well known dentist in Regent Square for 49 years. Norbert served in the Navy for nine years, was a graduate of Erie Prep High, Georgetown University, and University of Pittsburgh School of Dentistry, Past President of Odontological Society of Pittsburgh, Chairman of Pennsylvania State Board of Dentistry, appointed by the Governor, he was a lector, usher and finance committee member of St. Paul's Cathedral, Recipient of the Dr. Albert R. Pechan Award of Excellence for Outstanding Contributions to Dentistry, Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry, Chairman of the Northeast Regional Board of Dental Examiners appointed by the governor, recipient of the Pennsylvania Dental Association Presidential Citation for Outstanding Contributions and Dedicated Service to the public and profession of dentistry. Former faculty at University of Pittsburgh Dental School. Friends received 2-5 p.m. Sunday Only at the THOMAS L. NIED FUNERAL HOME, INC., 7441 Washington Street Swissvale. Mass of Christian Burial in the St. Paul Cathedral on Monday morning at 10 a.m. EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT THE CHURCH. Please send memorial donations to St. Paul's Cathedral.

Mary Lee, Corrine and I were saddened to hear of your fathers passing.

To the Gannon Family: I was saddened to hear of the loss of your loved one. I had gone to Dr. Gannon for many of those 49 years of his service as a dentist. I along with my children and many of my family members had never received such superior service from any other dentist as we have from Dr. Gannon. Dr. Gannon was a kind and genuine people loving person. Dr. Gannon will be greatly missed! My thoughts and prayers are with the entire Gannon family. May God keep you all at this difficult time. Rest with God, Dr. Gannon.

My deepest condolences to your family for your loss. Dr. Gannon passed on my mother's birthday. Now they are joining in the heavenly feast of our Lord's banquet. Your family set a loving example of faith in our community. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
