The Marxen family,
My condolences for your loss. I will always remember Uncle Nubs as a gentle giant with an infectious laugh and smile. I had the chance to visit with him at Pat Keller's funeral and thanked him for being part of my life. I also thanked him for some course correction he provided when I was being too wild and smart aleck like at one of our many family gatherings. He picked me up by my belt and held me over his head with one hand and suggested I mind my manners. "Yes sir" came flying out of my mouth and a new found respect for my elders was quickly established.
The Marxen family was blessed to have such a wonderful man in their life.
Rest in peace and may you all enjoy His loving touch

I knew Nubs for just a short time, but I will always remember his ability to put a smile on my face. My condolences to Gaile and the entire Marxen family.

To the Marxen Family,
My deepest sympathy to you all. Your Dad & husband was a terrific man. I just remember laughter always in your household and he was a big part of that. I spent many nights at your home on Washburn and out at the old farm house in New Prague with Gaile, Beth, & Laurie. We lived together too...remember I thought we could be a law firm of Marxen, Marxen, Devereaux, and Marxen! I love you all and I grieve with you, but I also know you had a precious opportunity to say your goodbyes and that is a gift. Nubs is up in heaven servin' up some of his famous Nub's Drive Inn fare and is free and out of pain and with Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. I will see you all on Friday. Love and hugs to all, Mary Pat Hauck (Devereaux)
