Jones, Norma Gayle Browning Gayle passed away at 7:15 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2004, at Lane Memorial Hospital, Zachary. She was 69, born Jan. 23, 1935. Gayle grew up in Baywood and resided in Bluff Creek. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, companion and friend. Gayle had a passion for life and a love for her friends and family. She is preceded in death by her mother and father, Marion Edward and Alice Browning; two brothers, Edward Highfill Browning and Alton Lee Browning; three sisters, Marion B. Fleniken, Anita B. Westbrook and Vione B. Lewis. She is survived by her husband, Jimmy O. Jones; a sister, Garnett B. Pollard; five daughters, Brenda G. Tynes, Beverly G. Fleniken, Linda G. Rayburn, Barbara Lee McMorris and Annette J. Fucich. She had 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Services will be held at Bluff Creek Baptist Church on Saturday, Nov. 27, from 8 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. for the family, followed by visitation for friends and extended family until service at 11 a.m. Pallbearers will be grandsons, J. David Gurney, Nicholas R. Tynes, Michael Dover, Bobby Wayne McMorris and L. Kyle Fleniken; and her nephew, Jules C. "Buddy" Pollard Jr. Honorary pallbearers are Brennan O. Fucich and Kelly C. Bellavia Jr. Gayle will be laid to rest at Sandy Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the American Association of Diabetes, P.O. Box 1131, Fairfax, VA 22038-1131 or Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation International, 120 Wall St., 19th floor, New York, NY 10005. Special thanks to the staff at Lane Memorial Hospital, Dr. Richard Rathbone and Dr. Gene Thompson.
