Norma Pins Obituary
Des Moines
Norma Ann (Werner) Pins was born to Norbert and Anna Werner in Worthington, Iowa on June 19, 1942. She graduated from St. Paul's High School in 1960. Norma married Fredrick Pins on November 7, 1964 at St. Paul's Church in Worthington Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Anna and Norbert Werner; brother-in-laws, Loras Greif and John Eisele; and granddaughter, Abigail Kathleen Pins.
Norma is survived by her husband, Fred of 52 years; six children, John (Jill) Pins, Anna Pins, Ron Pins, Father Joseph Pins, Dr. Jeremy (Danna) Pins and Amy (John) Bishop; ten grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Norma was involved in every church parish she was a member. She was the lead person in forming a homeschool organization at three parish schools. Norma loved to sew and her free time was spent reading. She was involved in children's activities. Camping was a big activity and she also played some golf. She was a Drake University graduate with degrees in religion and business.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to St. Augustin Catholic Church.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Augustin Catholic Church Monday, May 1st at 10 a.m. Visitation will be Sunday, April 30 at the church from 3-6 p.m. with a Vigil Service at 6 p.m.

Jeremy sorry I couldn't make it to anything. Have not been feeling great(normal huh). Say hi to Danna and the kids. Thinking of you at this time. It's always hard to loose a parent. My dad died when I was 28 and it was tough. Will keep you in my prayers

Dear Fred - my deepest condolences to you on the loss of Norma. Although i never met her, i know she was the world to you! May the kids bring you much solace in your days to come. I dont know if you will remember my name, but i knew you through St. Augustines - i served on the RCIA team with you and Patty several years ago, and would see you at Hyvee occasionally. Anyway take care and may the Peace of the Spirit and Holy Mother be with You, now and the days to come
