Bouma, Norman Grand Rapids, MI Norman Bouma, age 89, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 28, 2022, at Raybrook Manor. He was preceded in death in 2010 by Marian, his wife of 56 years, and in 2022 by his son-in-law, Gary Postma. He is survived by his children, Rich and Laurie (Alexandra, Christina), Randy and Jan (Brian and Angie Holwerda, Kurt and Kellie, Eric and Denise Millhoupt, Kate and Brett Wustman), Gayla Postma (Michael, Daniel and Mira, Steven), Linda and Brad Chapman ( Renae and Jon VanRyn, Ryan, Russell, Robert, and Rachel Rothenthaler), and many great-grandchildren. Norman was also preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Helena Bouma; sister, Connie Brink; brothers, John, Gord, Jim, Paul, Don, Robert; brothers and sister-in-law, George Brink, Jay Groenendyk, Bob and Jean Schepers, and Rob Koster. Norman is survived by his brother, Percy; sisters, Marilyn and George Vegter, Mary and Manny Matos, and Gesena Groenendyk; brothers and sisters-in-law, Kellie Bouma, Ruth Bouma, Willie Bouma, Ed and Joyce Koster, David and Shirley Dornbos, Virginia and Bill Dykstra, and Julia Koster. In his active years, Norman was an accountant by profession. He played the organ and directed church choirs for many congregations. He enjoyed gardening and traveling, and he loved towing grandchildren around Gun Lake on water skis or tubes. A family funeral will be held on June 1, 2022.
