Norman Sidney Brown October 22, 1922 - November 25, 2015 With great sadness we announce Norman Sidney Brown, of Abbotsford, B.C. died on Nov. 25th 2015 at Abbotsford Regional Hospital, at the age of 93. He was born on Oct. 22, 1922 in Edmonton, Alberta. He was raised on a farm near Highridge, Alberta. He married Lilian (Sadie) Brown and together they had two sons, Ronald and Barry. They celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on January 22, 2015. Norman served in the RCAF 419 Moose Squadron in World War II as a mid-upper gunner in a Lancaster bomber. He worked 26 years on the Vancouver Waterfront in ILWU Local 500 Union as a Longshoreman Checker, retiring at the age of 62. He was predeceased by his parents and seven siblings. Norman is survived by his loving wife Sadie, sons Ron wife Anna & Barry wife Pat, cousin Lorraine Taylor, 8 Grandchildren, 18 Great Grandchildren and many family friends. Norman will be missed by all.

Norman was a great man he always had a story to tell, and we heard quite a few he was fun ,always had a twinkle in his eyes. Rest in peace Norman you'll be missed. Darlene & Gerry

Rosemary and I were sad to see of Norman's passing. We remember him as a warm, personable gentle soul and who was the last living person who had visited my mother (his cousin) and I in the hospital when I was born in April 1942.
