DeGRAFF – Norman Fell, 81, of DeGraff, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, March 26, 2017 in his residence with his loving family by his side.
He was born Sept. 20, 1935, in Clark County, the son of Dana Arthur and Betty (Damewood) Fell. He was a 1953 graduate of London High School. Norman married his wife, Virginia Blankenship, July 29, 1956, at the Concord United Methodist Church by the Rev. Ian Bisset. He retired from Navistar in January 1997 with nearly 28 years of service. He was a member of Local 402. After retirement, he enjoyed traveling, which included eight European countries, as well as working at the annual Champaign County Fair for nearly 20 years. He thoroughly enjoyed the activities of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as socializing with friends and classmates over breakfast and coffee. Always on the move, he enjoyed the varied activities on his farm for 55 years. He has left with those who loved him memories which will sweeten their whole lives.
Norman is survived by his wife Virginia (Blankenship) Fell; his children, Beth (Charles) Siegenthaler and Douglas (Kathryn) Fell; his grandchildren, Jason Headings, Jessica (Christopher) Anders, Adam Fell and Philip Ryan Fell; his great-grandchildren, Caizen and Ozzy Anders; his step-sisters, Ann (Robert) Baird, Donna (Robert) Hutchins and Carol (John) Davisson; as well as several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, William Harold Fell and sister, Neoma Fell Montgomery.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Friday, March 31, 2017, in the VERNON FUNERAL HOME, Urbana. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 1, 2017, in the funeral home with Pastor Barry Baughman officiating. The family will receive friends 10-11 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow in Oak Dale Cemetery, Urbana.
