Peacefully at his home in Manotick with his loving family by his side on Monday, November 17, 2014 in his 86th year. Norman Mahon of Manotick and formerly of Pembroke, beloved husband of Sally Mahon (nee Duffy). Loved father to Robert Mahon (Rena D'Souza), San Antonio, Texas, Michele de Jonge (Jeff), Almonte, Norman Mahon Jr. (Marika), Bolton, Rev. Kevin Mahon (Charlene), Petrolia and Debbie Labinaz (Dr. Marino), Manotick. Loving grandfather to Sarah, Niko, Josiah, Abi, Sam, Jacob, Seth, Noah, Micaela, Alisha, Ashlynn, Daniel and Joshua. Dear brother of Irene Rivet (late Hector), Bath, ON, Barbara Ann Calvert (late Jim), Sudbury, and predeceased by his brothers Tony Mahon (late Daisy), Gerald Mahon, Clifford Mahon, Cyril Mahon, William Mahon and sisters Muriel Vargo (late John) and Gertrude Scanlan (late Ted). Brother-in- law of Kay Mahon and Wilma Mahon. Son of the late Frank and Florida (nee Dumouchel) Mahon. Will be missed by all his nieces and nephews. Norman was born in Sudbury and married Sarah (Sally) in 1955. Norman worked for Canada Manpower for 33 years, and was involved in many church ministries, singing, community organizations and charities. His greatest pleasure was spending time with his family. He will always be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. Friends are invited to share their memories of Norman with his family during Visitation at the MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 296 Isabella Street, Pembroke on Thursday 7 - 9 p.m. A Funeral Service to celebrate Norman's life and faith will be held at Calvary Baptist Church, Melton Street Pembroke on Friday morning, November 21, 2014 at 11 a.m. Interment Laurentian View Cemetery.
