Norman Rudman Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Feb. 6, 2025.
Norman Alan Rudman, born on June 10, 1941, in St. Louis, Missouri, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of faith, family, and a life well-lived. Deceased 01/26/2025 in Georgetown, TX.

The son of Anne Stiebelman Rudman and Ralph Rudman, Norman grew up with a love for sports and an adventurous spirit. He excelled as a high school athlete, serving as quarterback and MVP of the football team, forward and point guard on the basketball team, and pitcher and captain of the baseball team. His athletic talent earned him a spot as a "walk-on" for the University of Miami basketball team-a rare accomplishment.

After attending a military academy in Alton, Illinois, during his senior year of high school, Norman pursued engineering studies at the University of Missouri for six years. During this time, he discovered his passion for dancing and enjoyed dating and socializing.

Norman's career began when he assisted his father in the family's industrial commercial kitchen manufacturing business. His knack for sales emerged while selling warehouse inventory, leading him to a position with U.S. Rubber Co.'s Softgoods division, where he worked with Ked Tennis Shoes-marking the start of his lifelong career in fashion sales. He later founded Rudman Sales, representing manufacturers in women's wholesale apparel and retail boutiques.

Norman cherished hobbies that brought him joy throughout his life. He was an avid dancer-especially favoring the Imperial-and later found fulfillment in basketball programs like Hoop It Up and UpWard. Norman loved attending church and accepted Jesus Christ as Lord & Savior at age 47.
