Virginia Tweed Harvey

Virginia Tweed Harvey, 87, of Spartanburg, died Thursday, April 5, 2012, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born February 26, 1925, in Wellford, SC, she was the widow of Albert Eugene Harvey, and daughter of the late Walton and Clemie High Tweed. Mrs. Harvey was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church and retired from the Charles Lea Center. Survivors include her daughters, Gloria Jean Hardin of Fairforest, SC, and Janis Kay Porter of Little River, SC; and son, Dick Harvey and wife Vicki of Spartanburg, SC. She was predeceased by her daughter, Linda Harvey Zimmerman; and brothers, James Tweed and Buren Tweed. A graveside service will be conducted at 3:00 PM Monday, April 9, 2012, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, by the Rev. Monty King. Visitation will be at the graveside.
