Barksdale, Norval Palmer Jr. age 87, of Mpls., passed away peacefully July 1. Norval was born in Lawrence, KS Sept. 18, 1925. He served in the Navy, where he met his loving bride Wanda. They were married for 68 years. Norval and Wanda raised five children. Norval was preceded in death by daughter, Stephanie; and son, Norval III. Survived by wife, Wanda; daughters, Linda Randle and Kathy Barksdale; son, David (wife Colleen); grandchildren, Brian (fiancee Jamie), Jenai (husband Ray), Terra, Candace (fiance Darryl), Angela (fiance Joshua); and 5 great-grandchildren. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Memorial service 11:30 AM Friday, July 12 with visitation one hour before service, all at: www.Washburn-McReavy.com Swanson Chapel 612-529-9691 Lowry at Irving Aves. North

I will always remember his sense of humor and how he teased people in the family, no one was safe. I also remember toward the last years of his life I had the pleasure of helping him with his cares. He was not always cooperative. LOL He always had a way of joking with me. Miss his laugh and smile.
