Our deepest condolences to aunt Shoushan and sons. Amo Noubar was a very knowledgeable person and knew a lot about real state. We met the family when we bought our second house in Malibu and we became neighbors. Amo Noubar will be missed.May God give aunti Shoushan the strength and the patience in this time of grieving. May he also give her healthy and long life so she can enjoy her sons and grandchildren. With love from the Kaakijian family

My Grandpa was an incredible man. Being eleven years older than my grandma, he could see when she was just a young girl that she would grow up to be an amazing woman. Not many men would wait for a girl as long as he did but he knew she was the one for him. I loved to see my grandparents together. A couple that honors their marriage vows till death is rare and beautiful. I think Grandpa inspired his family in many ways, the most influential for me, was his music. The photo of him playing his violin is very powerful. I look forward to hearing him play again in the future.

Many, many years ago, my Mother, Lucie Baklayan-Karkour told me that Uncle Noubar and his brother and sisters were very close to my Mother Lucie and her Brother Albert. They were First Cousins. They grew up in Cairo, Egypt like brothers & sisters. They were the children of the 1915 Armenian Genocide survivors who walked the Syrian Desert for weeks without bread or water. But they endured all kinds of punishment and managed to survive. Uncle Noubar, my Mom and Uncle Albert formed a musical trio headed by Uncle Noubar, the eldest. This must have been a nice change of dynamics after experiencing the horrors caused by Turks to their parents in Western Armenia. This musical trio caused a lot of enjoyment to them, their families and friends. Uncle Noubar worked in the Family Owned Wine Factory before he headed to the USA approximately 65 years ago.
Years later, when I immigrated to the USA, I met Uncle Noubar and his lovely Wife Shoushan. They saw the struggles I was going through while I was establishing myself in the USA. Their mental support and encouragements was helpful to me.
To Shoushan, Steve, Anthony & your Families: our deepest sympathy for the loss of your Husband, Father and Grandfather. Dear Shoushan, your love for Uncle Noubar was unconditionally which gave him many happy years. God Bless his soul.
Unfortunately, Zaven and I will not be able to attend tomorrow's Memorial Service. Our thoughts & prayers will be with you.
Sincerely,

July 17, 2015

Dearest shoushan & family, our sincere & deepest condolences. May Noubar's soul shine in the heavens above. Love Nazar & Alice Arakelian...

It's hard to believe that grandpa isn't around anymore. It's hard to believe that someone who's been alive your entire life could ever die. It doesn't really seem possible, but then it happens.

This is the first time I've ever experienced losing someone close to me, and all I can say is that it is a very unnatural feeling. Someone so loving and self-sacrificing does not deserve to die, and especially does not deserve to suffer the way that he did.

Grandpa was one of the most patient, generous, and self-sacrificing people I have ever known. People like him just don't really exist anymore. Who can say they've been married to the same person for over 60 years? Grandpa was, and if you ask me, that's pretty impressive.

About a week before he died, I was holding his hand and telling him that no matter what happens, we will see each other again when God brings perfect conditions under His Kingdom. He will wake up from his sleep and feel better than ever.

I can't wait to see him again when he is restored to perfect health and happiness, just as God intended. Until then, his example will live on and inspire all of us to maintan our faith so that we can be there with him to welcome him back!

Dear Auntie Shoushan, Steve, and Ant.
I am so very sorry for your loss. I will always cherish the memory of Uncle Noubar. From that moment of about 49 years ago when I first met him, he was always so very kind and supportive to me and everyone in my family. I always admired the attention that he gave to everything he did. In his music, one could not but feel his passion for life and beauty. The world just lost a great man.

Dearest Shoushan, Steve, and Anthony:
We are so saddened by the loss of Noubar. We have, of course, known him for 60+ years and the memories of him are numerous. Words cannot describe the joy of our times together; whether visiting, conversing, and being entertained by his soulful music. We miss him greatly.
God give you the patience to bear your sorrow as we join your hearts with our prayers.

I'm going to miss Grandpa but I have so many wonderful memories of him that will sustain me until I see him again. I'll miss him playing El Cumbachero on the piano. Growing up that was our favorite and we asked him to play it every time he came over so we could march around the house single-file clapping with the rhythm. I'll also miss watching him and Grandma hug each other because they had the cutest little couple quirk, they would scratch each other's backs while they held each other. I love you so much Grandma! I'll fill in on the back-scratching hugs until you and Grandpa are reunited.

Grandpa was so kind and loving. He never hesitated in passing on his wisdom, and always offered a helping hand. I appreciate every sacrifice he made and gift he gave to ensure my family's happiness. We all miss him.

Shoushan, it was unfortunate that so many things occurred at the same time and I was not able to accompany you at your time of need. Losing my email prevented me from finding out earlier.
My condolences to you, Steve and Anthony. You and Noubar were an exceptional couple that was an example for us all to follow. My experiences with Noubar left me feeling with an extreme sense of respect and admiration for his dedication to you and your two boys.
When you were injured and were unable to drive, he drove you to work every day and stayed with you until the end of your workday for about one year. This demonstrated to me a deep sense of devotion and love as a human being.
Shoushan, I Owe you so much and for that I am grateful.
Those qualities that were part of Noubar will always live with your sons and grandchildren that is the most a man can leave to his family.

With love and respect,
Max and Gloria

Shoushan...you are in our thoughts and prayers as we share in your loss of Noubar. Remembering our many years of friendship will be treasured always! Remembering Your Dad

The things that he did
to show you he cared.
The sound of his voice.
The wisdom he shared.
A piece of advice
you'll never forget.
The way that he lived,
examples he set.
The work he put in
to doing things well.
The places he'd been.
The stories he'd tell.
His greatest success
that he was proud of.
His hobbies, his passions,
his laughter,
his love.

When you think of your dad,
and everything that made him
the man he was,
his memory lives on through you.

I'm so sorry for your loss. My love and prayers are with you all. May God give you peace to ease your hearts at this difficult time.

All My love, Mary Ann Yeghiaian Kaufmann

My father-in-law, Noubar, was a dear man who loved his wife, sons and their families very much. He was truly the best father-in-law I could of ever had. I loved to hear him play the piano and it brought everyone who heard him much joy. He was always so generous to me and our family. He had a cute sense of humor too. And I swear he was the best patient EVER thru his illness, bar none! Of course, he had the most caring nurse who worked tirelessly to meet his needs. I will miss him terribly.

I just didn't think you could ever die.
All of your love I will always hold near in my heart and my mind.
When my time comes I will meet you in heaven.
