RIVERSIDE JUNE LEE HARTLEY CHANDLER June Lee Hartley Chandler answered the Master's call on November 30, 2009 at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. The home at 353 Union Street, Hampton, Virginia, lit up with joy on June 19, 1939 with her birth to the late Samuel Harry Hartley and Jacqueline Lucille Brown. June graduated in 1957 from Phoenix High School that resided on the campus of Hampton University. She continued her studies at Hiram College, Hiram, Ohio, where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology in 1961. June had a passion for higher learning and later obtained a Master of Business Degree from Redlands University, Redlands, California. She is survived by her son, Kevan (Vanessa) of Riverside, California; her daughter, Karyn of College Park, three grandchildren, Joseph and Victoria Washington of Corona, California and Aireyonna Washington of College Park, Georgia; two sisters- Peggy Hartley of Alexandria, Virginia and Stephenne Belle of Woodbridge, Virginia; three aunts- Magnolia Ware of Suffolk, Virginia, Jacqueline Byers of Atlanta, Georgia and Rosalinda Hartley of Ragland, Alabama; two uncles- Zeb Hartley of East Point, Georgia and David Hartley of Pell City, Alabama; two nieces- Jacqueline Hartley of Alexandria, Virginia and Jessica Belle of Hopewell, Virginia; one nephew, John Hartley (LaKisha) of College Park, Georgia; 6 great-nieces, and a host of cousins and friends.
