JESSICA C. VEGA, RN CHICAGO, IL
Jessica C. Vega, RN, age 40. Beloved daughter of Jesus and the late Marie (Hajduch) Vega. Cherished sister to the late John, Charles (Cathy), Judy, Cathy (Chris), Paul, Coye, David, Jennifer, and Joseph. Loving aunt to Marie, Rachel, Alex, Audrey, Emilia, and others. Dearest friend to many. Warm-hearted godmother to many. Dedicated mother of Widdo Poopie, Hairy Potter, Cleo, Thumbalino, and Elston. Jessica was a graduate of St. Edward, Good Council H.S. and IUC College of Nursing. She was loyal to her nursing career in the VA Hospital system (Lakeside and Jesse Brown). Jessica lost her seven month battle with cholanglocarcinoma on Wednesday, December 29, 2010. Visitation will be Monday, January 3, 2011 from 9:00 a.m. until time of prayers at 10:30 a.m. at the Owens-Ruzich Funeral Home, 816-119th Street (corner of Rt. 41 and Calumet Ave at 119th St.), Whiting, IN. Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Interment at St. John Cemetery, Hammond. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jessica's name to the McNulty-Kelly Scholarship Foundation c/o St. Edward School, 4343 W. Sunnyside Ave., Chicago, IL 60630-4146. Dear Jessica's Family, I wish you the deepest condolences. I'm Fred Vega sister Grace theses are words I sent to consol my brother I thought I would share with you: Good friends are hard to find, but when you find them they're yours forever. Jessica is and will always be there for you, because that's the kind of person she was. Full of love and hugs always and for everyone she met, always caring.
