Susie "Nanu" Gwendolyn Bankester Puglise, 63, of Saucier, was called into the arms of Jesus Friday, December 16, 2011, in Gulfport
Mrs. Puglise was born November 5, 1948 to B. O. Bankester in Biloxi, MS. She loved the outdoors, roses, going fishing and being with children. She helped raise three generations of children.
Mrs. Puglise was preceded in death by her parents, B. O. and Doris Bankester, and a sister, Peggy Lebatard.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Richard Puglise; sons, Richard (Roxann) Puglise and Jeff (Ashley) Puglise; six grandchildren, Michelle Puglise, Rachel Puglise, Roxanne Puglise, Persefanie Puglise, Jeffery "Bubba" Puglise and David "Dayday" Puglise all of Saucier; her sister, Nancy Carroll of St. Martin; and brother, Jerry Bankester of Gulfport.
In lieu of flowers the family prefers donation made to St. Jude's Research Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, December 20, 2011, at Saucier Holiness Church where friends may visit from 9:00 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow in Biloxi National Cemetery. Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, O'Neal Road, in Gulfport is in charge of arrangements.

Aunt Susie, it's been a little over a year since you left us but not a day has gone by that I have not thought of you. I miss you very much. It Christmas time again and I miss out planned Christmas party every year at your house. I know your in heaven with no pain so that comforts me, I just wanted to say that I love you and miss you very much. Tell aunt nancy, paw paw and maw maw hi for me.

Richard and family,
I was shocked and saddened to just find out about Susie. Although we have not been close over the years, I will always cherish the time that we shared growing up as children. My prayers go out to you and yours.
