GERY JAKUB Obituary
GERY, Jr.
34, of New Eagle, died Thursday, February 28, 2013 in UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh. He was born September 20, 1978 in Pittsburgh, a son of Gery and Virginia Donaldson Jakub of Eighty-Four (Nottingham Township). Mr. Jakub was employed as an electrical engineer with Heyl & Patterson, Inc. in Robinson Township and also worked in the games department at Kennywood Park in West Mifflin. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Finleyville, Zeta Beta Tau Fraternity, and a life member of Valley Inn Volunteer Fire Department. Surviving, in addition to his parents, are his wife, Heather Twining Jakub; a daughter, Sarah; two sisters, Megan Jakub and her husband, Ryan Ludwin of Canonsburg and Katherine Jakub of Eighty-Four; paternal grandparents Michael and Genevieve Jakub of Duquesne; a niece, Kendall; and a nephew, Tyler. Friends will be received from 6-8 p.m. Saturday and from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at KEGEL FUNERAL HOME, INC., Tim P. Kegel, supervisor, 3560 Washington Avenue, in Finleyville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 4, 2013 in St. Francis of Assisi Church, Finleyville, with Reverend Robert J. Boyle as celebrant. Interment will follow in Finleyville Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Valley Inn Volunteer Fire Department, 810 Dry Run Road, Monongahela, PA 15063.
