Roger Cave Obituary

Roger F. Cave, 91, of Cherry Lane Estates, died on Wednesday (April 10, 2013) in Good Samaritan Home.

He was born on March 26, 1922, in Lightsville, a son of Dewey and Florence Long Cave.

He had first married Lucille Bules. She preceded him in death. He later married Esther Kattelman. She preceded him in death. He then later married Ruth M. Weiman Skaggs. She also preceded him in death.

Mr. Cave had attended Manchester College and also Valparaiso Tech. He worked for Gates/Harris Corp. for many years until his retirement.

Mr. Cave was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ and was also a volunteer for Blessing Hospital.

Roger is survived by one stepson, Ronald Kattelman of Texas; one brother, David Cave and his wife, Beverly, of Moose Lake, Minn.; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Mr. Cave was also preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Kathryn Walker.

SERVICES: 1 p.m. Monday in the Duker and Haugh Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Rev. Timothy White. Interment will be at a later date in Silver Creek Cemetery, Mount Morris, Ill.

VISITATION: Noon Monday until time of services in the funeral home.

MEMORIALS: Good Samaritan Home.

ARRANGEMENTS: Duker and Haugh Funeral Home.
