Evelyn Lena Bishop

1917-2013 WILLIAMSTOWN Evelyn Lena (Stoeber) Bishop, 96, of 118 Church Street, formerly of Lime St., Adams, died on Thursday, September 12, 2013 at Williamstown Commons. She was born in Adams on June 26, 1917 a daughter of the late Albert and Alma (Degan) Stoeber. She attended schools in Adams until the age of 14 years. She was employed for many years at the former Berkshire Fine Spinning. After moving to Williamstown in 1989 she was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church where she very active in all church functions. She was a member of the Friendship Club at the Harper Center. Evelyn was the widow of Howard Bishop. They were married on May 4, 1936 at St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Adams. Mr. Bishop died October 18, 1947. Survivors include a daughter, Carole Klemm and her husband Dr. George Klemm, D.D.S. of Pownal, Vt.; two granddaughters, Gina M. Thompson of Colorado Springs, Colo. and Karen A. Baker and her husband, William of Williamstown; one grandson, Steven Klemm and his wife Stephanie of Maine; and five great grandchildren. She also leaves a sister, Eleanor Vigna and a niece, Mrs. Sharon Grande. She was pre-deceased by a granddaughter, Cynthia Natale. FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral Services for Evelyn Bishop will be Thursday. Sept. 19, 2013 at 1 p.m. at St. John's Episcopal Church in Williamstown. Burial will follow in the Bellevue Cemetery in Adams.
