Arthur G. Vollert

1930-2014

Art Vollert was a San Francisco native, born to Dr. Arthur and Helen Vollert. He died July 1, 2014 surrounded by family.

Art was a Veteran of the United States Air Force, stationed in Alaska.

He was a man of many talents. He was a civil engineer, an ice cream store owner, and a food broker. He enjoyed playing golf, working around the house, gardening, cooking, building train sets, and spending time with family and friends. Art had a great sense of humor, and made everyone around him laugh.

Art is survived by his wife of 43 years, Aura; his children, Art (Diane), Bruce, Scott (Shelly), William (Kathryn), and Lisa (Clarence); 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers, Joe (Peggy), John (Pam), sisters, Peggy (Tim-deceased) and Frankie (John), and many nieces and nephews.

Art's family wishes to thank Napa Valley Hospice, Senior Helpers, Dr .Marshall Cooperson, and Dr. Strunk. We would also like to thank Queen of the Valley and their wonderful staff.
Art was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. He will be missed by all who knew him.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations made to the American Heart Association if so desired.

A service to honor his life will be held on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at 11am in the Tulocay Chapel.
Memories and words of sympathy may be shared with the family on-line at www.tulocaycemetery.org.
