Nancy E. Middleton

Nancy E. Middleton, 81, of Waynesburg, passed from this life into heaven at 2:58 p.m. Saturday, February 14, 2015, in her home and in the arms of her family. She had beaten cancer, remembering to always "fight like a girl."
She was born Wednesday, December 20, 1933, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Edgar L. Kelly and Stella Kostello Kelly.
Mrs. Middleton attended First Presbyterian Church, Waynesburg.
She was also a member of Waynesburg Senior Citizens and Senior Bowling League.
Mrs. Middleton enjoyed taking care of the flowers in her garden and was well known in the community of her grandchildren's friends as "Grandma Nancy." Her greatest source of joy was her family.
Prior to her retirement in 1994, she worked for 18 years as a secretary for the Rev. Richard Noftzger in student services at Waynesburg College.
On November 13, 1954, she married Carl "Bud" Middleton, who died January 20, 2008.
Surviving are a daughter, Debra McNeely Scheidt and husband Karl of Lancaster; two grandchildren, Kaitlin (Eric) Churney and Steven McNeely; a sister, Gail Rakaczky of West Mifflin; and several nieces and nephews.
She also leaves behind a beloved dog, Max.
Deceased, in addition to her parents and husband, are two brothers, Raymond Kelly and Gifford Kelly.
Mrs. Middleton will be missed by "all her babies."
A greeting of friends will be held from noon to 1 p.m., the time of a memorial service, Sunday, February 22, in Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home Inc., Daryl L. Throckmorton, owner/director, 197 North Maiden Street, Waynesburg, PA 15370, with the Rev. Noftzger officiating. Burial will be in Fairall Cemetery, Whiteley Township.
