Eric MANCHEE Obituary
Peacefully on March 5, 2015 after 96 years filled with sailing, skiing, stamp collecting, scientific enquiry, and lots of laughter. Dearly loved by children Rod, Ellen, Janice and grandson Dan. Predeceased by wife, Melva. Special thanks to Dr. Howard Cohen, his many friends at the Palisades Retirement Residence and the caring staff at the Ottawa General Hospital. In memoriam donations may be sent to Friends of Canadian Broadcasting.

Hello Ellen and family. I am sorry to learn of Eric's passing. He was a committed historian, too, and I will always be grateful to him for helping to preserve a part of the Ottawa Valley's Irish history.

I only knew him briefly, but sufficient to know he was a great man and an avid sailor, best sail boat ride ever was with him out on Lac Deschenes. I will never forget it!

Our prayers and thoughts are with you all. Eric was a good neighbour and we remember him well. Taking him for his groceries or what else he need. He is with the love of his life Melva .
