CRAWFORD, Florence Marie Newcomb, 79, peacefully passed away at home on March 9, 2015, surrounded by her family. "Flo" was born in 1935 in Waynesboro, Va., where she was a member of the Salvation Army Church. In 1952, she graduated from Waynesboro High School, married the love of her life, and moved to Richmond, Va. She was baptized at Broadus Memorial Baptist Church. She retired from Brownson Equipment Company after 42 years as an administrative assistant. She was predeceased by her parents, Herman and Oleta Newcomb; siblings, Buddy, Billy, Bobby, Ruby and Dorothy; and great-granddaughters, Alyssa Doane and Sarah Spence. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 62 years, Emory C. "Red" Crawford Sr.; four children, Debbie Bradshaw (Robert), Pattie Robinson (Ron), Buddy Crawford (Renee) and Nancy Wills (David); brother, Clyde Newcomb; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
