ANDERSON, S.C.
Sarah Judy McGill Byrum, age 71, of Anderson, passed away on Wednesday, June 17, 2015, at Fellowship Health and Rehab. Born in Anderson County, she was the daughter of the late James Julian McGill, Sr. and the late Madge Brown McGill. She was the devoted and loving wife of the late Wilfred Byrum. Mrs. Byrum was a graduate of Crescent High School, Class of 1962, and worked for many years as a spinner at Orr-Lyons Mill.
Survivors include two brothers, Ronnie McGill (Barbara) of Iva, and James Julian McGill, Jr., of Anderson; three sisters, Bessie Baggott of Anderson, Patricia Richey (Kenneth) of Anderson, and Sherry McGill of Anderson; also surviving is a special niece, Shirley Rice (Gerald) of Anderson. In addition to her parents and her husband, Judy was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth McGill and a sister, Frances McManus.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2015, at 1 p.m. at the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Dr. Charles Holland officiating. Interment will follow at Iva City Cemetery. The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home Saturday from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.
Contributions in memory of Mrs. Byrum may be made to Ark Hospice, 101 Grace Drive, Easley, SC 29640.
