David L. Good

David L. Good, 77, of Ashland, Ohio, formerly of Kittanning, died Friday, March 29, 2002 at the Samaritan Regional Health System after an extended illness.

He was born March 31, 1924 in Barnesboro to Dorsey and Bertha Good. Mr. Good was a supervisor for the Ashland City Schools. He previously was employed with the former Pittsburgh Plate Glass Industries. A Navy veteran, he served during World War II. He was a member of the Maple Grove Church of the Brethren. His other memberships were the Veterans of Foreign Wars, where he was a life member. He also was a former member of the Eagles. For 31 years he was a resident of Ashland, Ohio. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Margaret (Shotts) Good, whom he married Jan. 4, 1945; one son, Edward D. Good of California; one daughter, Yvonne Christie of Natrona Heights; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one sister, Gertrude Podolan of Sarver. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Charlotte Polasko. The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association and or American Diabetes Association. Funeral services were held April 3 in Ashland, Ohio and interment was held in the Ashland County Memorial Park with military honors accorded by the Ashland Joint Veterans Council.
