Oddio Nib (born Douglas Scott Cox) died on July 9, 2025 at Hilltop Healthcare Center, Duluth, MN at the age of 68. Born to Gerald and Barbara (Korpi) Cox on July 12, 1956, he graduated from Denfeld High School and attended UMD. He is survived by brothers, Dean (Tammy) Cox, Ivan Raconteur (born David Cox), and sister, Deborah (Tim) Seelinger. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews who called him "Funkle" for "Funky-uncle." He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Dennis (Linda) Cox-Townsend. Oddio began making his mark on the Duluth art scene in the early 1980s, creating hundreds of paintings throughout his career. During his life he lived at Emerson Tenant's Co-Op, owned an art supply store, participated in Renegade and Rubber Chicken Comedy Theatres, and worked at the Duluth Entertainment and Convention Center. Many of Oddio's paintings are on display, and for sale, at Zeitgeist Arts Gallery in Duluth during July where a Closing Gala will be held on July 30th, 4-6 pm. A celebration of life will be held Sat., Aug. 2nd, 4-6pm at VIP Pizza (1201 Tower Ave. Superior, WI).
